Here is a summary of the processes involved to produce my sculptures:

Firstly, I sculpt the face from clay and encase it in a plaster jacket ready for moulding

The gelflex is poured directly onto the clay face and produces a flexible mould

Wax is then painted into the mould to produce a cast of the face

Multiple copies can be produced from a single sculpt

The face is painted with oils and acrylic eyelashes are inserted

The body is created from a wire frame covered in foam backing and finished in hessian
